Finally… The New Story
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010Gosh, it feels good to post a new comic. I’ve really missed sharing Zip and Li’l Bit’s adventures with everyone online.
For all the long-time readers of Zip and Li’l Bit, thanks for coming back. I hope you won’t hold the lengthy hiatus of the strip against me, and that you find the new story to be worth the wait. For all the new readers, welcome to the show. I hope you enjoy Zip and Li’l Bit in The Captain’s Quest, and if you do, be sure to check out their other adventures: “The Upside-Down Me” and “The Sky Kayak.”
The new design for the site looks great, doesn’t it? For the update of the site, I relied on my friend John Bintz and the magic of ComicPress. I’m really happy with how it’s turned out and appreciate all his hard work in putting it all together.
As you may imagine, without any new comics, the amount of people checking in on this site has dropped pretty low. If you’re a fan of Zip and Li’l Bit, please help me spread the word that we’re back in business. If you can blog about it, tweet it, mention it to the dude who bags your groceries, stand in the middle of the street and yell it at cars, anything you can do to help me get readers back to the site would be awesome, and really appreciated.
New pages will be posting every Sunday, starting next week. So check back on March 21st to find out what happens when the Captain goes after his first whale and what, if anything, this has to do with Zip and Li’l Bit.

Yay! What’s funny is I was wondering latly about Zip and Bit lately, since I’ve forgotten to check the site after the last story ended. I can’t believe that was back in 07/8!! Wow.
Going to read the pages that are up of the new story now……

Hi Ellie,
Thanks for the comment. It’s great to have you back. I can’t believe so much time has passed since the last story either. I don’t feel like I’ve been a lazy person, but maybe I have. It’s either that or time is just passing by way too fast.

[...] Some excellent news: Trade Loeffler has been working on a new Zip and L’il Bit story that he’s begun to serialize: The Captain’s Quest. [...]

[...] Trade Loeffler’s web comic Zip and Li’l Bit is one of those beautiful treasures that makes my heart race. It is such an incredible, sweet, funny, playful, joyous body of work, and he has so perfectly captured the true essence of comic greats of the past, that I’m tempted to say everyone else should just quit trying. There are three stories so far- Upside Down Me, Sky Kayak, and now Captain’s Quest. [...]

Oh boy – I’m going to have to take my seasick tablets to deal with the wallpaper here, though….

Hi Alex,
Good to have you aboard, just remember to take those seasick tablets the night before you look at the wallpaper. Otherwise, they don’t seem to work so well.
