Upcoming Book Readings

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

So that wraps up the introduction for our story. Next week Zip and Li’l Bit Funnies will start looking a lot more familiar, I promise. There may even be an appearance by one of our main characters. Will it be Zip or Li’l Bit?

I’m going to be busy the next couple of weeks with some events for the TOON Book (Zig and Wikki) I illustrated. Starting off this Thursday afternoon, April 8th, Nadja Spiegelman and I will be at the Strand Bookstore in New York City, reading Zig and Wikki and then drawing some silly alien monsters.

Then, next Saturday morning, April 10th, Nadja and I will be at the Tribeca Barnes and Noble here in New York for another Zig and Wikki reading.

On Saturday, April 17th, a big crowd of TOON Books creators and creators from First/Second Books will be at Books of Wonder in New York. I’m really looking forward to that one. My editor, Francoise Mouly will be there along with her husband Art Spiegelman, and Geoffrey Hayes, Frank Cammuso, Dean Haspiel, Nadja and myself, and from First/Second, George O’Connor, Colleen AF Venable, and Mike Cavallaro. Yow! What a lineup, right? That’s going to be great.

Then, on Sunday, April 18th, I’ll be down in Philadelphia with Nadja, Geoffrey Hayes, and Leigh Stein for the Philadelphia Free Library Festival. I’m really looking forward to that one, too. I love going down to Philly.

If anyone can join us at any of these events, that’d be way cool, especially if you have kids and can bring them along.
