Hey Jas,

Yeah, it’s tough that I can only put out new comics every week (or less from time to time). I wish there were more hours in the day… and that I could stay awake during those extra hours. I’ve actually been doing a ton of writing lately because it’s so much quicker than drawing, but don’t think that will get posted here.

I should be heading out west at the end of July for a couple of days. I’ll give a call when I figure out my schedule and come see you.

just got caught up on the last few months. great stuff. i’m always excited to see a slew of installments (too nerve wracking to be left hanging every two weeks).

Another explication could be that colours looks different under water than on air. But to be honest, I don’t know what happens if you submerge pink.

Oops. You got me. I colored that tentacle at the beginning of the story quite a while ago and as I was coloring the Sea-King for this page, I thought he’d look a bit more menacing and all if he was a little bit redder and all. I guess I’ll have to go back and change the color of the tentacle to match.

Or, I can use your explanation about squids and octopi being able to change their color. Thanks, Guy.

Uh – Oh, again!

Now I see that the little Sea King is paler than his father. OK, let’s check the colour with the tentacle at the beginning! Hmm, no hit, it looks more like Livingstone.! However, many celaphopds (scientific name for squids, octopusses and so on) are able to change their colour.

So, you were kind of right with your theory, Guy. It’s just that your idea of what the Sea-King was like applied more toward Livingston’s personality. We’ll have to see if it applies to the Sea-King himself. Stay tuned.
