New Look, New Features… New Story
Sunday, September 16th, 2007To all our regular Zip and Li’l Bit readers, thanks for coming back. I hope the break wasn’t too long, and that you didn’t miss the comic too much. For any new readers to the strip, welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy the comic.
We’ve revamped and updated the site for this next story. You’ve probably noticed the new title and colors. We’ve still got the old look, though. Click on The Upside-Down Me link and it’ll take you to re-read the first story in its original form.
My friend, Tyler Martin (of Wally and Osborne and ComicPress fame), did all the hard work to get everything up and running. If you’re reading this, then you’re already aware of the nifty blog and comments section that we’ve added. Tyler also re-worked how the “Zoom” feature works on the comic. Be sure to click on one of comic panels and check it out. It’s hella cool. Lastly, we’ve added an Archive Page for each story. It’s a great way to see all the pages at once and figure out which one looks best.
Okay, now that we’ve gotten all that stuff out of the way, let’s get started on Zip and Li’l Bit’s second big adventure: The Sky Kayak. I hope you enjoy it.

So glad to see the new adventure beginning! Loved the first one and shared the link with many. Even my most jaded friends enjoyed the story and especially enjoyed your beautifully executed panels. Reminds me of my faraway youth and what the newspaper Sunday comics section used to be like.

Wonderful work, as always. I so look forward to this. It’s kinda like a favorite TV show of mine is back for another season. I look forward to your story and great art and color!

Nice zoom feature! That really let’s you take in the art. How’d you do it?

Hooray!
By the way, is there any news on the possibility of your publishing the Upside-Down Me series as a hardcopy book? I’m still interested in purchasing one!

Thanks for the comments, everyone. It’s good to be back.
Danny, I’m not sure how Tyler set up the zoom feature, but give him a holler. He really did an awesome job on this site, right?
Lynne, at some point I’ll figure out a way to get Zip and Li’l Bit on paper but I’m not there yet. I’ll probably wade into the shallow end of the publishing pool first by working up some postcards before I dive in to the deep end. I’ll definitely keep everyone posted on how things progress on the “real” book front.

Awesome job. I’m excited to read it. Oh, and I think you should put a panel or two on a t-shirt. You can give me one for Christmas. Size medium please.

So the stone lion used to be a cub? How does *that* work exactly?
PS Kids - don’t try this at home. Seriously. Jumping out of windows has been known to cause injury.
