Not Much to Add
Thursday, November 29th, 2007Oh boy, just a quick post with today’s comic. I’ve been out of town for a few days and just got back. The comic’s done (whew!), but no time to say much about it.
Next time, hopefully I’ll have something to say.

My girlfriend, who is very sensitive about anthropomorphic things, must be rubbing off on me. I feel VERY sad for the smiley balloon.
(Fortunately, my amusement at being sad about this has made me happy, so it all works out!)

Glad everyone’s okay with the “dark” tone to this comic. So long Smiley Balloon, sorry we only had a couple pages to get to know you.

Actually, I believe smiley balloon will:
- climb to a height at which the internal pressure exceeds external…and pop
- float around until UV deteriorates its rubbery exterior…and pop
- slowly release its internal lighter-than-air gas…and gently float back to earth a mere fraction of its former glory
In any of these cases, a seagull is likely to eat it, choke and die.
Dark Times, indeed.
