Que haces, Richard? I hope your granddaughters love the comic.

Santiago, Thanks for the suggestion. My gosh, what a silly omission on my part! As soon as I get a chance I'm putting my moniker up there on header. It's funny because I was listening to a podcast from the Half Pixel crew and they were talking about how they sign their strips and it occurred to me that I never put a signature on my drawings. I never even considered that I was also close to anonymous on my site. I appreciate that you pointed that out... and I'm grateful for your nice comments on the strip. Thanks, my friend.

This will sound awful, but it took me a while to find your credit Trade!

(A small suggestion: put your name or signature on the title of the comic)

And I guess I haven't said this before, but Zip and Bit is one of the best comics out there (online or regular-wise)... keep up the good work!

Muy Bueno!!!
I love the no speech approach to his feeling sad about his missing shadow.
Can't wait to see it finished and sit my granddaughters ,(Five and Four) in front of the computer to see their reaction.
Great work, Trade.

Hey Everyone. :)

I've been crazy busy lately, so I really appreciate the nice comments and support. It makes this comic all worth it for me.

Esn, I've actually modeled the house a little bit after one that's here in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. I'll try to remember post a picture of it with the blog next time.

Jonathan, the clown paintings are silly, right? They usually get covered up by the text, but most of the pictures in Zip and Li'l Bit have been circus-themed. For The Upside-Down Me, they were mostly elephants with some circus scenes. For The Sky Kayak, I tried to go with clowns, although I just looked and I started out with elephants on this story too. Oops.

I love the way it turned out! Great choice to leave those three middle panels quiet. Can't wait to see the end of this one! Wait... I don't want it to end! I'm so confused!

I just want to say how much I've enjoyed the story so far. The atmosphere is great and the story is enchanting.

Silent panels work really well, empty houses carry the perfect kind of sadness for Zip missing his shadow.

No, I like it! It's that kind of "apprehension without words" feeling, where you're too uneasy to sleep and time just drifts by.

And it's nice that the story is not ending so quickly, but in a sort of winding-down way. (I once read a 2000-page story that ended basically within half a page. Boy, did I feel let down)

By the way, what was the house modeled after? I've never seen a house that looked quite like that...
